At the ICS Welfare Foundation, we believe that true well-being is achieved by supporting and cherishing the senior members of our community. Over the past year, we have been profoundly privileged to partner with the remarkable Anubhanda Charitable Trust, dedicating ourselves to enhancing the comfort, dignity, and daily lives of the elders residing there.
We were able to conduct several significant drives, transforming their living environment and ensuring their needs were met during important festive and memorial periods.
Here is a look back at the meaningful impact we achieved together:
1. Honouring Ancestors: Pitru Paksh Drive
During the solemn period of Pitru Paksh, a time dedicated to honouring our ancestors, our efforts were focused on providing practical comforts and necessities.
- Donations: We supplied the residents with door mats for safety and hygiene, essential groceries, and much-needed men’s wear to ensure their personal comfort and dignity.
2. Enhancing Daily Living Essentials
A major part of our commitment involved improving the day-to-day quality of life at the Trust by supplying critical household and personal items.
- Donations: This comprehensive drive included plates, water glasses, beverage glasses, and water bottles to upgrade their dining facilities. We also provided necessary women nighties, practical dustbins, secure grocery storage boxes, and useful umbrellas.
3. Festive Joy and Nourishment: Diwali Celebration
Diwali, the Festival of Lights, was a special occasion marked by nourishment and warmth
- Lunch Sponsorship: ICS Welfare Foundation, sponsored a wonderful lunch for all the residents, ensuring a memorable and festive meal.
- Clothes Donation: In the spirit of the holiday, new clothes were also donated to bring them joy and dignity during the celebrations.
4. Essential Comforts for Rest
To ensure a comfortable and clean environment for rest, a donation focusing on bedding and personal linen was organized by the ICS Welfare Foundation.
- Donations: This effort included fresh bedsheets and towels, along with various clothes to bolster their linen and wardrobe supplies
5. A Fresh Start: Sankranti Mega Donation Drive
The auspicious harvest festival of Sankranti brought with it our largest and most impactful donation drive, aimed at significantly upgrading the Trust’s infrastructure and kitchen capabilities.
- Kitchen & Storage Upgrade: This included a new Stove (3 burner), 2 Hot boxes, 3 kitchen storage boxes, 1 Mixer, and 3 storage racks to streamline meal preparation and storage.
- Groceries: We provided a massive supply of 45 days’ worth of groceries to secure their food needs well into the new year.
- Living Comforts: We added 10 mattresses & pillows to improve sleep quality, 3 racks to sort their storage issues and a Washing Machine to ease laundry burdens.
- Daily Essentials: The donation was rounded out with 20 food plates and 2 dustbins.
