Checking the NGOs registration can give you an idea of the legitimacy of the organization. Additionally, you can check whether the NGO has obtained a tax certificate and what objectives they are currently serving. Better yet, visiting the NGO in person can give you a better picture of their operations and activities.

2. Are Donations deductible in Tax?

Yes, donations made to eligible charitable institutions and funds are still eligible for deduction under the new tax regime under Section 80G, subject to specified conditions and limits.

3.What is Charity?
