Compassion in Action – Donating for Dignity & Care
The sacred occasion of Mahashivratri is a powerful reminder of compassion, selflessness, and the spirit of giving. At the heart of this divine festival, the ICS Welfare Foundsation was profoundly honored to extend our support to the wonderful residents and staff of the Navachetana Trust.
Navachetana Trust is a beacon of hope, dedicated to caring for those with special needs. Recognizing that a nourished body and a smoothly run facility are key to the well-being of the residents, our Mahashivratri donation drive focused on upgrading essential kitchen and dining necessities.
On this auspicious day, we were delighted to donate a collection of practical items designed to enhance the daily operations and dining experience at the Trust:
- 1 Mixer: This key piece of equipment will significantly ease the labor of preparing healthy, nutritious meals for the residents, allowing the staff to save valuable time and effort.
- 3 Roti Tawas: Essential for preparing fresh, staple food, these tawas will ensure warm meals are served consistently.
- 3 Chopping Boards: Crucial for kitchen hygiene and safe food preparation.
- 4 Chatai Mats: These traditional mats provide comfortable, floor-level seating, ideal for community dining, activities, or rest.
- 30 Plates, 30 Glasses, & 30 Spoons: A complete set of new dining ware ensures every resident and staff member has access to clean, hygienic utensils for every meal, uplifting the dignity of their dining experience.
- 3 Stools: Practical, sturdy seating additions for both the kitchen and common areas.
Mahashivratri is often observed through fasting, meditation, and offering reverence to Lord Shiva. Our act of donation was our way of observing the festival—by offering Seva (selfless service) to the community and bringing comfort to the lives of those who need it the most.
By contributing such essential items we are not just giving objects; we are contributing to efficiency, hygiene, and the dignity of the residents’ daily lives. We believe that a well-equipped kitchen and a clean dining space foster a healthier, happier environment
